Amongst the many 'other' things I am and will always be an apprentice writer and a dreamer... I am also a chronic procrastinator, but I'm hoping that won't be for always.
I recently read a great tip for sustaining creativity and focus. It was written by Cathryn Hrudicka.
Her tip was to try ‘rotating creative crops’ and her suggestion was that you could write for 1 hour, then for instance; play music or sing, then draw or make a collage before going back to your writing for another hour.
The idea is that it stimulates different parts of your brain and gets you into that "flow" state. Regardless, it works for me!
I love this as a method of maintaining creativity on a writing project, but I think it works equally well for any project in order to maintain focus.
